What to expect on the day…

A friendly, warm welcome accompanied by an introduction to the simulator and the world of an Airline Pilot. Here at The Future Skills Centre, there’s free parking on site.

During your flight simulator experience you’ll take control of an 80-tonne airliner.  There’s no previous flying experience is required, as your jet experience Instructor will provide a comprehensive briefing covering everything from the effects of controls, to using the automation systems. You can fly airline routes in real time, practice take-offs and landings; and try your hand at landing in a thunderstorm, and even low visibility. For the more advanced pilot, you can test challenging approach procedures at locations such as Funchal Airport in Madeira, Innsbruck, Kai Tak, or handle Heathrow Airport.
